Its episode 150 for The Autumn Windbags. Happy New Year, Raider Nation! Question of the day, Where does Derek Carr get traded to, if at all? Las Vegas Raiders former starting quarterback Derek Carr is all but gone, however he does have a no trade clause in his contract. So Carr can veto any trade offer he chooses. Derek Carr is likely to pursue free agency after watching the contracts the past quarterback free agents like Kirk Cousins, Tom Brady, Philip Rivers, Nick Foles and Teddy Bridgewater received. The six landing spots that make sense for Derek Carr are the Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. Former Houston Texans quarterback, current NFL Network analyst and Derek Carr's brother, David Carr ranted on the Las Vegas Raiders. David Carr said Derek Carr wants stability on ownership and coaching. Former Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham did a scrum in 2018 and compared himself to Derek Carr and said he aspires to play like Tom Brady. In Raiders news today, Davante Adams states that he still plans on playing for the Raiders even though Derek Carr won't be quarterback anymore. The Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2023 has been cut down to the semi-finalists. Two former Raiders were in the mix. Albert Lewis made it. Eric Allen did not. Raiders NFL Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs is the leading rusher in the NFL right now. With just one more game to go, Jacobs is over 100 yards ahead of the Nick Chubb and Derrick Henry. Top NFC team San Francisco 49ers traveled to Las Vegas to take on their former Bay Area rivals the Raiders. The big Raiders news this week was the dismissal of Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. In his place, fourth year player Jarrett Stidham makes his first start alongside NFL Pro Bowl weapons Josh Jacobs, Davante Adams, Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow. Jarrett Stidham was originally drafted by the New England Patriots when Josh McDaniels was the offensive coordinator so he is familiar with McDaniels' system. San Francisco 49ers boast the best defense in the NFL with guided by NFL Pro Bowl end Nick Bosa. The 49ers also start a back up quarterback in Brock Purdy with Jimmy Garoppolo injured. The 49ers have plenty of offensive weapons as well with Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle and full back Kyle Juszczyk.

On the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception, the Raiders vs Steelers rivalry continues in NFL week 16. In the wake of Franco Harris' passing, all eyes are on the historic game at Acrisure Stadium. Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels traveled to Pittsburgh with quarterback Derek Carr and NFL Pro Bowl pass catchers Davante Adams, Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow. NFL rushing leader Josh Jacobs is expected to have a big game as well in the frigid weather. Welcome to episode 146 of The Autumn Windbags! THANK YOU for subscribing to our channel and helping us reach 5,000 subscribers! Question of the day, what are we calling the final play of the Raiders-Patriots game? It was one of the wildest plays of the NFL season at the end of the raiders Patriots game and needs to be encapsulated with a great name. Chandler Jones earned the fan's adoration with the play and the Mac Jones stiff arm. The NFL released the rosters for the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl. The Las Vegas Raiders will send Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs and Maxx Crosby. All three no-brainers. The only Raiders players that have a case for going that didn't are punter AJ Cole and kicker Daniel Carlson. The Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium is a different environment that the days of the LA Coliseum or Oakland Coliseum. A video of a Raider fan harassing a Patriots fan went viral at the Las Vegas Raiders vs New England Patriots game. Raiders president Sandra Douglass Morgan even tweeted that the Raiders will reach out to the Patriots fan. Former Raiders first round draft pick Damon Arnette is back in Raiders news. The camera footage from the police who arrested Arnette just got released. Damon Arnette was even dumber than we thought. ESPN released with their power rankings the biggest "surprise" for every NFL team. ESPN chose the NFL's leading rusher Josh Jacobs as the Raiders'. Josh Jacobs was always a good running back but the way Josh McDaniels has utilized him has made him an All-Pro. Steelers Raiders Predictions: Its the 50 year anniversary of the Franco Harris and the Immaculate Reception. The Raiders-Steelers Rivalry runs deep and continues on Christmas Eve on primetime. Raiders vs Steelers game will come down to Derek Carr, Davante Adams, Darren Waller, Hunter Renfrow and the rest of the pass catchers making big plays against the boom and bust defense of the Steelers. Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett should be back in action and test the raiders poor pass defense. Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots traveled to Sin City to face Josh McDaniels and the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders last play was one for the ages as former New England Patriot Chandler Jones intercepted a lateral to Pats quarterback Mac Jones and returned it for the game winning touchdown in one of the craziest raiders endings in history. The lateral came from Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers and the decision cost his team a shot at overtime and perhaps the NFL playoffs. It all started when Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson fumbled on the play. The raiders last play will live in infamy considering the history between the Raiders and Patriots. The Raiders winning touchdown was needed considering how disappointing the season has been. The Patriots lose not only the game but drop to 7-7 and could miss the playoffs. Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow returned for Raiders Pats after being on injured reserve for several weeks.

Welcome to episode 144 of The Autumn Windbags! Now that the Raiders fell disastrously to the LA Rams on Thursday Night Football, the question of the day asks why are you watching the last four games of the NFL regular season? Raiders radio host and insider JT the Brick reported that general manager Dave Ziegler is looking to revamp the Las Vegas Raiders. The Windbags discuss if this is a strategy by Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler as damage control to push the blame to the roster and not the coaching staff. The offensive line has continued to improve but the right guard and right tackle situation could be up in the air. Davante Adams is a lock to stick around. Josh Jacobs, Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller will all be expensive next year. And finally quarterback Derek Carr is due for a jump in salary next season. On defense, only Maxx Crosby, Nate Hobbs and Chandler Jones are a lock to stay. Trevon Moehrig and Divine Diablo likely stick around. Everyone else is replaceable. In Raiders news today, starting guard Alex Bars went down against the LA Rams and then the Raiders cut John Simpson. They potentially lose the started to injury then cut the backup. Trevon Mullen was traded to Arizona Cardinals then cut but that team turning into a 7th round pick. Linebacker Jayon Brown is headed to injured reserve AND Divine Deablo is not back from injured reserve. The linebacker room is down to basically three guys. NFL Pro Bowler Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller are designated to return to the team off injured reserve this week and should be able to play against the New England Patriots. The goals are to get them more comfortable in the new system and get the two players as much production as possible to potentially trade them. Episode 142 of The Autumn Windbags comes a day early thanks to a Thursday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Rams! The question of the day: With the Raiders sitting at 5-7 and on a three game win streak heading into NFL week 14, how long does the win streak have to be for you to think playoffs? The Las Vegas Raiders still have the Los Angeles rams, New England patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs to close out the season. Its a giant uphill battle to reach the playoffs but is there a certain win streak that would get you excited at the prospect? The Good: The Las Vegas Raiders are on this run on the back of a big win over the Los Angeles Chargers in NFL week 13. Josh Jacobs, Davante Adams, Derek and Josh McDaniels all had big performances. The offensive line had its best performance of the season pass blocking. Nate Hobbs returned from injured reserve and had a great game. Chandler Jones had his biggest game of the season BY FAR with three sacks. Defensive backs Isiah Pola-Mao and Duron Harmon came up huge as well. The Bad: The turnover monster appeared against the Chargers. Josh Jacobs is one of the best ball control running backs in the NFL but he lost a fumble. Derek Carr threw a pick six as well. The third down offense and 4th down defense both need work. Justin Herbert is great on 4th down but its still not an excuse. The Ugly: The NFL referees missed a pass interference call that led to Derek Carr's interception. In Raiders news, Raiders vs Patriots was supposed to be on Sunday Night Football in primetime. It made sense with Josh McDaniels vs Bill Bellichick and two teams that were supposed to be in playoff contention all season. It didn't pan out that way so the NFL flexed the game out of primetime and replaced it with the Washington Commanders vs the New York Giants. The Raiders made a move at defensive tackle as well releasing Kendal Vickers and signing Kyle Peko. With the recent success, are the Raiders finally set at offensive line? Currently, Kolton Miller, Dylan Parham, Andre James, Alex Bars, Jermain Eluemunor are the Raiders starters and have performed well recently. The Raiders and Josh McDaniels rotated offensive lineman all season trying to find the perfect match and it looks like they might have found it. The Las Vegas Raiders visit the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football. The Raiders Rams matchup pits the Rams terrible offense against the Raiders vastly improved defense. Raiders vs Rams 2022 also comes down to the Rams' two back up quarterbacks and beat up offensive line against the Raiders newfound pass rush. Another big Raiders Rams matchup is the poor pass defense against Derek Carr and Davante Adams and also potentially the return of Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow. Also, The Davante Adams vs Jalen Ramsey matchup is the most important one-on-one matchup of the game. The Las Vegas Raiders defeated AFC West rivals the Los Angeles Chargers 27-20 at Allegiant Stadium. Derek Carr, Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs led an offensive attack designed by Josh McDaniels. The Raiders defense put on their performance of the year behind the rush of Chandler Jones and the return of Nate Hobbs off of injured reserve.
