Episode 177 of The Autumn Windbags LIVE from Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Raiders have had some hard times so lets look at reasons to be optimistic. The Raiders can't lose so many one-point game again. The Raiders have four players that could be the best at their position next season: NFL All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams, NFL All-Pro end Maxx Crosby, NFL rushing leader Josh Jacobs and Pro Bowl kicker Daniel Carlson. The pass rush should be good with Maxx Crosby, Chandler Jones and first round NFL Draft pick Tyree Wilson. The targets will be great with Davante Adams, Pro Bowl slot receiver Hunter Renfrow, Jacoby Meyers and rookie tight end Michael Mayer. Josh Jacobs has hall of fame numbers. He has the seventh most yards from scrimmage through 25-years-old behind only Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Edgerrin James, Walter Payton, Ladanian Tomlinson and Marshall Faulk. Welcome to episode 176 of The Autumn Windbags! 81 days until Raiders-Broncos week 1! RJ got a Bo Jackson signed helmet for his birthday and he may watch every game next season in the helmet. How many games or seasons does a Raider need to play before he is fully a Raider? Raiders general manager Dave Ziegler and head coach Josh McDaniels franchise tagged Josh Jacobs this season but Jacobs has yet to sign it and has not shown up to Raiders OTA 2023. Chandler Jones did an ESPN interview this week. Chandler Jones did not have a season that was up to snuff to his contract. Chandler Jones says he freed up other players though it seems he was the one freed up thanks to Maxx Crosby. Maxx Crosby posted an Instagram video that is the most motivational thing we've ever seen. Antonio Brown is eligible for the NFL Hall of Fame in 2027. He has one of the best stats in wide receiver history. Antonio Brown is in the same hall of fame class as Rob Gronkowski, Adrian Peterson, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Richard Sherman. We make What Up, Windbags history!

Question of the day, was the Las Vegas Raiders passing problems in 2022 lie with quarterback Derek Carr or head coach Josh McDaniels? The Raiders passing game was not up to par during the 2022 NFL season. Derek Carr put up some of his worst numbers despite having NFL All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams, Pro Bowl tight end Darren Waller and Pro Bowl slot receiver Hunter Renfrow. Derek Carr was known as a great comeback quarterback. But according to one stat, Jimmy Garoppolo is even BETTER at comebacks than Derek Carr. The stat comes from 4th quarter wins. Tom Brady leads the category. In Las Vegas Raiders news, Raiders owner Mark Davis announced that Future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady will be a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. The Tom Brady Las Vegas Raiders relationship is the question. ESPN did their NFL Power Index Rankings. Welcome to episode 170 of The Autumn Windbags! The question of the day, which Raider will be the biggest surprise this season? Soto says Tre Tucker. RJ says Jermaine Eleumunor. NFL draft second round tight end Michael Mayer, NFL All Pro Davante Adams and NFL rushing leader Josh Jacobs were also discussed. Basically all players on the Raiders 53 man roster are on the squad. The Windbags think Alex Bars and Jermaine Eluemunor's positions could be up in the air. Michael Mayer should start. On defense, Maxx Crosby, Chandler Jones and Tyree Wilson need to all be on the field as much as possible. If Nate Hobbs stays at slot then the Raiders are in the market for two starting corners. Raiders lineman Thayer Munford spoke about how much Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones helped him get better. The Raiders Schedule 2023 gets released this week. We know the home and away games along with opponents but not when they play. The Raiders schedule will have three home and away games against the rest of the AFC West: Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders play the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings away and the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions at home from the NFC North. The Raiders play the New England Patriots and New York Jets at home and Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins away from the AFC East. The Raiders also play the NFC East third place New York Giants at home, AFC North third place team Pittsburgh Steelers at home and away at the Indianapolis Colts. In LV Raiders news, former Raiders tight end Foster Moreau signed a deal with the New Orleans Saints. The tight end was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma this year and just got a great prognosis. Henry Ruggs III will plead guilty and get three to ten years in Nevada state prison. Bo Jackson has chronic hiccups. A Raiders fan held up a sign during the 2023 NFL Draft that appeared on ESPN made a hilarious joke about Josh McDaniels the Windbags have never heard of. So the question of the day, what is the best insult you've ever heard? Peter King was inside the Raiders draft room with Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler and left with some big Raiders news. The great access gave Raider Nation a unique view of what went on.
