Welcome to episode 185 of The Autumn Windbags! Just 24 days away from Raiders vs Broncos in NFL week one! The Raiders Rams joint practice was a chance for Raiders rookie quarterback Aiden O'Connell to prove his performance against the 49ers was no fluke. Reportedly, the Los Angeles Rams passing offense headed by Matthew Stafford ate up the Las Vegas Raiders secondary. Also reportedly, Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas raiders defense ate up the front of the Rams. Thursday's raiders Rams practice is the last chance for starters to get reps against another opponents. The Raiders and Rams fought two preseasons ago and the Raiders vs Rams fight continued this season. NFL All Pro end Maxx Crosby punched the ball out of the hands of Rams running back Cam Akers and a brawl ensued. In Raiders news, the Raiders have some injury updates. NFL All Pro wide receiver Davante Adams is 100%. NFL Draft first round pick Tyree Wilson is activated off the PUP list. Dylan Parham did not play with perhaps a concussion. Chandler Jones, Nate Hobbs, Brittain Brown, McClendon Curtis and Brandon Facyson did not participate. Rookie tight end Michael Mayer and Pro Bowl wide receiver Hunter Renfrow were back. Looking back at the Raiders and 49ers preseason game, Trey Lance was the national narrative. Did Lance fall apart or did the Raiders defense play so well? Josh McDaniels and Aiden O'Connell led the Las Vegas raiders to a 34-7 victory over Trey Lance and the San Francisco 49ers. The first Raiders touchdown came on the opening drive. The Trey Lance highlights were few and far between as Zamir White and the Raiders led a very effective offense. Sam Darnold did not do much better for the 49ers offense. Tre Tucker had some big plays for the raiders as well.

The Las Vegas Raiders roster is 90% Dave Ziegler and Josh McDaniels players. The only starting players that were not signed by this regime are Josh Jacobs, Hunter Renfrow, Kolton Miller, Andre James, Jermaine Eluemenor, Maxx Crosby, Divine Diablo, Nate Hobbs, Trevon Moehrig, Daniel Carlson and AJ Cole. The Raiders salary cap is starting to belong to Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler. The Las Vegas Raiders training camp depth chart was just released. Alex Bars, Austin Hooper, Jerry Tillery, all starting. Brandon Parker, Thayer Munford, Jakorian Bennett NOT starting. Who starts in the nfl preseason? Albert Breer of SI made some observations of Raiders practice. The big observation was a look at the Raiders defense and their need for turnovers. Albert Breer said Tyree Wilson is two weeks away from practicing. Episode 182 of The Autumn Windbags, one day early! The question of the day, who is your favorite Raiders fan? With UFC fighter and Raiders fan Justin Gaethje winning the BMF UFC belt, he's RJ's number one. Jessica Alba is Soto's. During Raiders training camp, Maxx Crosby and Jimmy Garoppolo went at each other at Raiders practice. The Raiders are tackling to the ground. This defense needs so much help that the extra intensity is needed. The good news in the secondary is Nate Hobbs returned from injury but fellow cornerback Brandon Facyson had to be carted off with a leg injury. Soto is confident in our secondary with Nate Hobbs, Trevon Moehrig, Marcus Epps, Marcus Peters and Duke Shelley. The Raiders signed Darius Harris and resigned Chase Garbers and let go of OJ Howard, Justin Murray and Kana'i Mauga. How Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels handles Hunter Renfrow is a great microcosm of how much McDaniels has improved in handling players. Raiders rookies like Michael Mayer and Tre Tucker can cut into his targets. Same with Jakobi Meyers. We'll see in the NFL Preseason who plays. Craig Carton reports that news stories will start to come out that NFL Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams will ask for a trade to the New York Jets so he can reunite with Aaron Rodgers. Episode 181 of The Autumn Windbags! Raiders training camp 2023 is underway and its starting to feel like football! The question of the day, are aliens real? A whistleblower reports that the government is hiding alien technology. New Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was medically cleared by the Raiders. The Jimmy Garoppolo injury history is expansive. Now that Raiders camp has started, is Jimmy G injury concerns unfounded? Soto says Jimmy G is NOT injury prone. At the raiders press conference today, Jimmy G and head coach Josh McDaniels gave slightly conflicting reports on Jimmy G's health. Three time NFL Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Peters is now a Raider. He is desperately needed on this squad. The Raiders starting defensive backfield will likely be OCB Marcus Peters, Duke Shelley - Slot CB Nate Hobbs - Safeties Marcus Epps, Trevon Moehrig. Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert just became the highest paid quarterback in the NFL. Now that he is off his rookie deal, Raiders fans have to hope head coach Brandon Staley can keep this franchise from underperforming. NFL Pro Bowl end Maxx Crosby opened up about his mentality at the Raiders press conference today. In Raiders news, Nate Hobbs, Neil Ferrell Jr., Tyree Wilson and Byron Young missed the first day of training camp with various reasons. Josh Jacobs skipped training camp so far holding out for a better deal and has not signed his franchise tag. Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby made their pitches to bring him back. Welcome to episode 176 of The Autumn Windbags! 81 days until Raiders-Broncos week 1! RJ got a Bo Jackson signed helmet for his birthday and he may watch every game next season in the helmet. How many games or seasons does a Raider need to play before he is fully a Raider? Raiders general manager Dave Ziegler and head coach Josh McDaniels franchise tagged Josh Jacobs this season but Jacobs has yet to sign it and has not shown up to Raiders OTA 2023. Chandler Jones did an ESPN interview this week. Chandler Jones did not have a season that was up to snuff to his contract. Chandler Jones says he freed up other players though it seems he was the one freed up thanks to Maxx Crosby. Maxx Crosby posted an Instagram video that is the most motivational thing we've ever seen. Antonio Brown is eligible for the NFL Hall of Fame in 2027. He has one of the best stats in wide receiver history. Antonio Brown is in the same hall of fame class as Rob Gronkowski, Adrian Peterson, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Richard Sherman. We make What Up, Windbags history!
